It’s once again time for us to round up and review some of the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours of the last 24 hours – and we’re going to kick today’s digest off with a huge story for fans of Newcastle United.

According to TeamTalk, who base their story on a number of reports in the Spanish and Italian media, Newcastle are still “in the market” for a new forward and could strike a “bombshell” deal for Real Madrid starlet Endrick, widely regarded as one of the most prodigiously gifted young strikers on the planet.

There are mixed messages, however, as the report admits, with Real apparently concerned at the risk they could “lose control over Endrick’s development,” according to one source, while TeamTalk admit that there is “nothing concrete” to suggest that a loan bid is in the pipeline. There are no indications that a permanent move is at all possible.

The 3AM Verdict: Presumably Newcastle will only even be in the market for a new forward if there are issues with Nick Woltemade or Yoane Wissa, but it’s hard to figure out how likely such a move might be anyway with numerous sources offering different accounts of what Endrick is likely to do in the near future. We’ll stay sceptical for now – there’s far more noise than clarity out there.

Amazing, Liverpool are credited with an interest in the 23-year-old centre-back as well, along with “two other” unnamed Premier League sides. It’s hard enough to imagine Everton selling their brightest young asset to their fiercest rivals, and even harder to imagine it when Branthwaite only recently signed a new contract.

Still, United “remain keen” on the defender and are willing to up the £50m offer which was rejected in the summer of 2024, while Branthwaite himself supposedly “has the desire to play for a top club.” Everton, meanwhile, want to keep him for as long as possible.

The 3AM Verdict: Not a chance that he goes to Old Trafford in January, in our opinion, and very little chance that he ever plays at Anfield. Not only has Branthwaite only recently extended his contract but United seem to be spent out after their work in the summer transfer window. It’s highly unlikely that they can even afford him right now. Next summer could, of course, be another matter, but we’re dismissing this story out of hand.

Spurs, Aston Villa & Newcastle in for BundesligaLet’s wrap up with an interest case study in circular reporting, which we’ll explain very shortly – but it also comes from Caught Offside, and claims that Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle are all “keen” on 29-year-old Borussia Dortmund winger Julian Brandt.

Brandt becomes a free agent at the end of the season and as such Dortmund “could be tempted to sell him” in January if they can find some bidders. Brandt, for his part, “could be attracted” to a move to the Premier League, although the comments on his thoughts on his future read as being very speculative.

Interestingly, this story cites Spanish outlet Fichajes – whose own story says just the same thing as a Caught Offside article from Monday. In other words, this could well be an example of one story being echoed across multiple outlets, sometimes citing each other and sometimes ‘forgetting’ to do so, making it feel like a rumour with only one source is being corroborated across multiple platforms.
