Newcastle United, Everton and West Ham United have all enquired about Genoa right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy for January.

The 22-year-old is in demand and could leave the Serie A club this winter.

Norton-Cuffy is also being tracked by Napoli and Juventus alongside Newcastle, Everton and West Ham, with Genoa prepared to sanction a sale at around €20m.

Newcastle Want Defensive Cover

Norton-Cuffy joined Genoa from Arsenal in 2024 and has made 19 appearances in Serie A this season.

He missed Genoa’s 0-0 draw against Parma with a muscle problem but has been almost ever-present this season.

Having come through the Arsenal Academy and also spent his youth at Chelsea, the former England Under-21 international is now open to a return to England.

Newcastle are seeking defensive cover with Tino Livramento ruled out for up to two months with a hamstring injury. Dan Burn, Fabian Schar and Emil Krafth are also sidelined.

Everton also have a desire to find a right-back as they seek a long-term successor to Seamus Coleman. Their club captain returned to the bench against Aston Villa last weekend after a spell out with a hamstring injury. Jake O’Brien has been used out wide for much of the season, while James Garner has filled in out of position.

The Toffees made an approach in the first week of January for Norton-Cuffy and Genoa are now waiting to see if a formal bid arrives. Bologna’s Emil Holm, Cardiff’s Ronan Kpakio and Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez have also been discussed with the latter capable of playing further up the field.

West Ham are also seeking a younger right-back despite having Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Kyle Walker-Peters at the club. The Hammers are yet to make a formal approach for Norton-Cuffy but have sent scouts to watch him in recent weeks.

Although a move within Serie A is also not discounted by those close to Norton-Cuffy, the defender has aspirations to play in the Premier League.
