The Clarets will face the Yorkshire side in a clash at Turf Moor at 3pm on Saturday, October 18, in an early-season six-pointer, with the club only collecting four points from their opening seven fixtures so far.

However, supporters have been advised by the club that additional safety measures will be in place to prevent the throwing of objects across the segregation line, which has already occurred at fixtures at the ground this season.

Additionally, the club has stressed that any supported identified throwing objects will be dealt with by both Burnley FC and Lancashire Constabulary, with lengthy stadium bans and football banning orders being issued.

A Burnley FC spokesperson said: “Supporters should be advised that additional safety measures will be in place for the fixture with Leeds United, which will include a ‘segregation net’ within the Barnfield Construction Stand between the visiting and home supporter areas.

“This will be in place to prevent the throwing of objects across the segregation line, which, unfortunately, has been seen at recent fixtures at Turf Moor.

“It must be stressed that any supporter identified as throwing objects will be robustly dealt with by the Club and Lancashire Police, with lengthy stadium bans and football banning orders issued.”
