Erling Haaland will be fit to face Burnley this afternoon but Manchester City remain without four senior stars for the visit of the Clarets.

Pep Guardiola provided an injury update in his press conference ahead of the clash, and declared Haaland ‘ready’ to face Scott Parker’s side. The striker has six goals in five league matches this term and has recovered from the back pain that prompted him to be replaced in the final quarter of last weekend’s draw with Arsenal.

Guardiola also provided another injury boost with the news that Mateo Kovacic could come into contention for a place in the squad against Burnley. The midfielder has yet to feature this season having undergone surgery in the summer on a troublesome Achilles injury.
